My name is Crystal Panganiban. I recently graduated from UNLV with a Dual Baccalaureate. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marketing and my Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design and Media. I also graduated Cum Laude from the Honors College.
I’ve always been someone with many interests that continually looks for self-improvement and ways to build upon my skills. In other words, I love learning new applications, technology, market trends, and different industries that I'm interested in.
From the start of my college career, I knew that I wanted to go into marketing because there was a business, scientific/analytic, and creative side of it. Yet, I knew that I wanted to pair business with fine arts because I wanted to learn more about the arts and find a subject that can enhance my creativity.
I started off with photography. However after four years from high school, I wanted to learn something new. I felt that there was something that would complement marketing and eventually discovered the graphic design and media program at UNLV.
After being admitted to my upper division business major and the graphic design program, my love and appreciation for marketing and graphic design grew stronger. The two subjects go hand in hand and I’ve found so much overlap between the two as I went through my courses. I’ve been able to bring my marketing knowledge to graphic design classes and vise versa. To realize and make all these different connections between the two and to bring what I’ve learned from one class to another was one of the most rewarding feelings. It was evident that I had a passion for marketing and graphic design.
